DEER PARK, NY –
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found in Deer Park this afternoon.A man was found dead with stab wounds in front of 145 Old Country Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
Detectives believe the man may have been killed several hours before the body was found. The victim’s identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

LAKE GROVE, NY – Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at a Lake Grove bank.
A man entered the TD Bank, located at 2822 Middle Country Road, at approximately 7:35 p.m., approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot, westbound on Middle Country Road.
The suspect, who had the lower half of his face covered with what appears to be a surgical mask, was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall to six feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt, covered by a green shirt, and brown pants.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
PORT JEFFERSON – Suffolk County Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the drowning death of a man found near Port Jefferson Harbor today.
Sixth Precinct officers responded to a beach near Port Jefferson Harbor after a Village of Port Jefferson Constable found the body of Marlon Lewis at approximately 1:45 p.m. Lewis, 28, undomiciled, appears to have drowned.
The investigation is continuing and an autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
MOUNT SINAI – Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a crash that critically injured a motorcyclist yesterday.
Ronald Starke was traveling eastbound on North Country Road near Mountain Ridge Drive on a 2003 Indian motorcycle when he was struck by a westbound 2002 Subaru Outback operated by Yokito Yoneyama.
Starke, 60, of Mount Sinai was transported via Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is in critical condition.
Yoneyama, 36, of Rocky Point, was transported via Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was treated for minor injuries and released. He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555.
