10-28-2019 | 1:26 AM | MASSAPEQUA PARK,NY— In the overnight night hours of Monday October 28, 2019 Nassau County Police responded to reported shots fired in an upscale Massapequa Park neighborhood. At 1:25am Nassau County Seventh Precinct officers responded after 911 calls on Glengarrif Road.
NCPD Det. Vincent Garcia says officers discovered multiple shell casings in front of the home on Glengariff Road. Multiple bullet holes penetrated the home which police say was not the intended target. Police confirm more than a dozen shots were fired from a vehicle traveling down Glengarrif Road. They say the vehicle directed the gunfire towards the residene.
Nassau County Police officials say no of the occupants in the home were injured. The residents of the home were asleep at the time. Seventh Squad Detectives are reviewing home surveillance video from the house.

07-01-2019 | 6:30 PM | PLAINVIEW,NY — New York State Police are investigating a crash that seriously injured a driver in Plainview, New York. Around 6:30 p.m., a Jeep overturned on the Northern State Parkway at Exit 37 (Manetto Hill Road). Firefighters from Plainview Fire Department had to cut the driver free from the vehicle using the JAWS OF LIFE. The parkway was shutdown to have a Nassau County Police Medical Helicopter land. The driver was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.
05-22-2019 | 7:10 AM | SYOSSET,NY— The Nassau County Police Homicide Squad investigated a fatal auto accident involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 7:10 a.m. in Syosset, New York.
According to detectives, a male driver operating an ambulette stopped on the southbound shoulder of Route 135 (Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway), south of Jericho Turnpike and was conversing with the operator of a second vehicle when a third vehicle sideswiped both vehicles and the ambulette driver. The ambulette driver who was identified as Herman Hanson, 74, of Hempstead, New York was pronounced at scene. The operator of the third vehicle remained at scene.
