08-22-2019 | 7:09 PM | PATERSON,NJ — Two people were injured and one was killed after a drive-by shooting in Paterson, New Jersey Thursday night. The shooting happened on August 22, 2019 after a ShotSpotter Activation. Law enforcement sources say a A 25-year-old man was killed outside an apartment complex on Presidential Boulevard during a drive-by shooting. Sources say the three victims were outside the Riverview Towers when the shots rang out. The ShotSpotter activation registered 18 shots. Police recovered 15 out of the 18 shell casings. Sources say one of the victims wounded by gunfire was a security guard. The security guard was shot twice in the stomach and another victim was shot in the hip. No arrests have been made.
08-15-2019 | 6:30 PM | PATERSON,NJ — A Motorcyclist was injured Thursday evening following a crash at Railroad Avenue & Green Street. Paterson Fire Department EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of “serious injuries. Paterson Police shutdown the road as an accident investigation was conducted.
06-25-2019 | 1:00 AM | PATERSON,NJ — A 5 Alarm fire destroyed four homes in Paterson, New Jersey in the early morning hours on Tuesday June 25, 2019. Firefighters from Paterson Fire Department received 911 calls around 1:00 a.m., reporting a fire at 480 Summer Street. When firefighters arrived they encountered heavy fire conditions in four residential homes. A 3rd Alarm fire was immediately transmitted due to the heavy fire conditions. Mutual aid from multiple Passaic and Bergen County fire departments was requested to the scene and to provide fire coverage in Paterson. Flames could be seen lighting up the night sky over Paterson with flames greater than 50 feet in the air. Sources say the fire was possible being fueled by gas inside. Dozens of firefighters remained on scene into the morning.
05-06-2019 | PATERSON,NJ — Multiple businesses were destroyed and many people were left homeless early Monday morning in Paterson, New Jersey, A fire broke out at a building at River Street & Straight Street after midnight. Flames lit up the night sky over the Passaic River. Firefighters from numerous agencies battled the fire which reached 5 alarms.
