06-01-2019 | 10:25 PM | EAST FARMINGDALE,NY — Suffolk County Police Department arrested a man for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after a multiple vehicle accident on Saturday night. Suffolk County Police First Precinct officers responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles at the intersection of Route 110 and Michael Avenue in East Farmingdale at approximately 10:25 p.m. Police arrested the driver of one of the vehicles after a field sobriety test at the scene. The suspect was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip and treated for minor injuries.
05-23-2019 | 3:40 pM | WEST BABYLON,NY— Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a man in West Babylon this afternoon.
A man was sitting in a car at the corner of Commander Avenue and Straight Path when he was shot at approximately 3:40 p.m. The man, 24, of Lindenhurst, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Melville,NY: Thursday, December 20, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Melville last night.
An unidentified white female was struck by two vehicles as she was crossing Walt Whitman Road from west to east at Livingston Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. The victim apparently crossed while vehicles were proceeding through a green light northbound in the left lane of Walt Whitman Road at the intersection. She was struck by a 2016 BMW driven by Sharlene Jamison, then by a 2009 Nissan being driven by Frank Liontos. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
Jamison, 47, of Middle Island and Liontos, 22, of Dix Hills were not injured.

SHIRLEY, NY : Monday, January 29, 2018, at approximately 2:15 a.m.
Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a one-car crash that killed a Patchogue New York man last night.
Ali Gaith was driving a 2006 BMW sedan southbound on William Floyd Parkway when he apparently lost control of his vehicle at approximately 2:15 a.m. on January 29. The BMW struck a utility pole in front of 539 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley, NY. Gaith, 31, of 42 Pearl St., was pronounced at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
